ornament Window themes anyone?

Any other city dwellers here? I can't WAIT to move out to the suburbs and have a yard and porch to decorate, but for now, I just have my old-fashioned lamp post and windows to decorate. Any ideas for a theme this year? I've done Christmas balls in greens and golds with pretty gold ribbon, hanging at different lengths int he past and last year I did silver and white snowflakes on fishing line, which looked really neat, but too "wintery" and not "Christmas-y" enough! I always do lights, too!

So, any good ideas? I'm considering doing somethinng fun, festive and RED, but not sure!

oh ill be watchign thsi with interest because I have a large front window which actually is 6 various size pains of glass in oen window structure to use and the neighbour hood i live in anythgin put outside will be swiped - so i need window things I can use that will stay safe.

Am liking the Christmas baubles though - might use that idea and hang them from ribbon.

Im in a ground floor flat so have the big window (with 6 pains in) and 2 smaller ones that the public really see.

Was thinking of fake snow or snowflakes on the window but not sure yet.

Man I want to be in a house asap!

I have the same issues with putting things outside! One of my little flags got stolen out of my planter the other day... heck, one of our ENTIRE planters (with a TREE planted in it!!!) got stolen from out front a few years ago! Grrr...

sorry to hear of your loss hun (your tree and flag)

my problem is we have a communal garden and are right by a main road, whereas our gate is closed every night because we have a motorbike locked up in the garden, my neighbours just leave there's wide open for any tom, dick and harry to wander into.

The neighbour who lived there previously put out some little solar lights that looked like rocks and two planters with miniature trees in and they were stolen the next night.

so outside decorations are not an option at the minute - but as soon as they walk into my flat its like a winter wonderland.

Usually I dont have a problem with my decorations being stolen but I have been at my townhouse for almost 3 years and have had 3 flags with the post stolen! What is it with people stealing the flags and the posts? They arent that expensive! My Son just bought me a new one for Mother's Day but I havent put it out yet because my Hubby is going to cement it into the ground .

Ooh, that sounds fun!!! Unfortunately, I only have 2 measely downstairs windows that can be seen from the street and 2 cats (and a toddler! lol) to contend with, so it'll probably have to be something simple.
