3 Ships

In the 80s Jon Anderson from Yes released a Christmas album titled "3 Ships" I still have the cassette of it, but would love to have it on CD. I tried downloading it, but it cuts off some songs that continue into the next song. Anybody else remember this album? It isn't all traditional songs, but his original stuff is great, like the song "How it Hits You", great stuff.

Some folks would lead you to believe that Jon Anderson’s “3 Ships” is out of print so they can sell their vinyl from 1985 at high prices!

This isn’t the case. A digitally re-mastered CD of “3 Ships” was released in 2008 and is likely available at your favorite music source. But, wait, that’s not all! Five bonus tracks were included on the CD!

Here’s the complete scoop! - http://www.jonanderson3ships.com/

I will do that. I notice they put the bonus tracks in the middle of the original stuff, I just hope they didn't mess up the continuity of it.

If the bonus tracks do not meld well with the original, just burn a CD in the first issue order. You could tack the bonus tracks to the end or insert them where you think they fit. In the case of mp3 players, most will allow you to re-order content in playlists.

If you ever find your vinyl album, you could still rip it to preserve the sound of "3 Ships" as you remember. Who of us above the age of forty don't have a nostalgic feeling about vinyl surface noise?

In fact you could burn a CD or create a playlist of the old and the new.

I know I can always get the "vinyl" fix if I wanted to. My dad has literally thousands of lps. They are in shelves from floor to ceiling filled up my old bedroom and down the hallway. A lot of them are mine that I had when I lived there. I left them with his collection but can retrieve them anytime.

The only problem with burning it to another CD is that a lot of the songs blend right into the next song, if I made my own CD the computer would put a gap where it doesn't belong. I'm not going to mess with it, I am sure it will be fine.
