I don't think that is something I would use anymore, but it would be nice to have the option.
I checked it out, finally, and Walmart will not do layaways this year.

I miss the layaway at Wal-Mart. I used it every year for Christmas items. You would think closing it would have hurt their business a little, but I guess not. I don't know of any other stores beside K-mart and Sears that do layaways.

A layway is where you can pick out items in the store and they will take them and put them back for you and you make payments on the items until they are paid off and then you get them. The stores now assume that since most people have credit cards that they will just buy the merchandise on the card and pay for it later that way. Hope that helps.

I have been seeing ads on TV for a lay away program at Kmart. Anyone else see them?

I haven't used a layaway in awhile. But like someone said that it would be prefect to bring them back now because of the economy.

I've not seen them because I usually fast forward through the commercials but, I know that K-Mart here still does layaways because I use them every year at Christmas.
