A lot of roads near our house are flooded, but my husband's stupid boss is still trying to get him to come to a meeting even though the governor has declared a state of emergency and he said, "People need to stay indoors." They canceled school in our county and everything. Our house and our family's homes are safe, but a bunch of others weren't so lucky. We've been watching the news and only the rooftops of some houses and schools are visible. Some people have passed, included a young toddler. So terribly sad.

Please keep ATL in your prayers!!
I too saw this on the news, does not look good. Hope you all stay dry and safe.

Thinking of you and your family. I watch the news but this is the first I've heard of this flooding.
God Bless you all!

Glad to hear you're safe ! Floods are unfortunately a problem occuring more and more often because of climate changes and urbanisation. A problem that needs to be solved not only by the leaders of our world but also by our own small contributions to keep our planet green and clean !

flood

I am about 30 minutes NW of Atlanta in Acworth. We got a lot of rain and some roads were closed due to flooding, especially around where I live near Allatoona lake, but not near as bad as around Atlanta. I am glad the rain is slacking off and hopefully cleanup can get underway soon.

Thoughts be with you!
