The “Huckleberry Radio Hour” is a live show with a live audience that features music, tales, and skits with sound effects. Each show is broadcast over 1470 AM WFNT in Flint Michigan. The program is part of Crossroads Village that features, among other neat things, a steam train excursion.
Of course “Huckleberry Radio Hour” stages a Christmas show each season. This year’s show will take place Saturday, November 28th beginning at 7:00 p.m., Eastern. If you are in the area, perhaps you can be in the audience! I’m not sure if the show will air live on WFNT, but it will probably air at some point during the season.
Meanwhile, scroll down and find the player containing the November 29, 2008 Christmas special:
I didn’t fund a listen link at http://www.wfnt.com/Home/tabid/1928/Default.aspx but I think the show will run on the internet at the above link. If anyone in the Flint, Michigan can shed some light on any of this plus any other seasonal programming on WFNT, please do so! This is a perfect example of truly local radio!
There seems to be a national (U.S.) set of HD radio station programming to which radio stations may subscribe and broadcast over local HD channels. Chances are that other stations subscribed to the same source as WLTW will carry the same programming. If you have a HD radio receiver, start digging and report your Christmas findings!
