Too right i take my boy to see santa, every year since he was born and ecery year for the forseable fute (even when hes 30+). In sum places he sits on santas knee, other places they dont allow it which i think is sad as the parents are there.

Its a major part of childhood to go and visit santa at a grotto, and to look back on at the photos in years to come.

Best experience so far was last year took my son to a garden centre where my sister works and santa came in and spent time with each individual child-took a while but was very special for the kids. Then it was time for photos after and then time to pick a toy of their choice (good quality too-elves worked hard for this day). The day started off with a breakie for all the families, xmas music playing in background-very very good.

As for worst experience-aint got one

When I was a little girl, about 5 years old, my sister brought me to the store to see santa. i was PETRIFIED to say the least, but my sister told me if i wanted my Thumbulina doll, then I had to tell Santa, because a lot of other little girls wanted the doll too. So, I waited patiently for my turn. Luckily, Santa was standing up, so i didn't have to sit on his lap, thank god because i probably wouldn't have done it! LOL!! Anyway, my turn finally came, and I told Santa what I wanted. I know for sure I told him about the Thumbulina doll, but don't remember what else. The doll was THE most important thing on my list, thats for sure. Santa told me he would see what he could do, and boy did I make sure I behaved, I wanted that doll more than anything else. Well, Christmas morning came, and thhere was my Thumbullina dioll, along with a carrying case for her, and clothes, along with a lot of other presents. I just loved that doll, and always thought of her as "my baby".
