No not really.....we are trying to decrease our gift giving outside our family.
I do bake alot during december and always have extra baked goodies on hand so I could alway put together a basket of baked godies in a pinch.

Usually not but this year I bought a couple things just to have on hand. There was a booth at the local craft fair a couple of weeks ago that had baskets with lids on them and a big coffee cup inside for just 5 dollars so I picked up a couple of them. The baskets are really cute with a snowman scence painted on the lid and then the coffee mug matches the lid.

That is a great idea! Im hoping to get more baking done this year then I have in the past few years. I usually have an extra candle or two just incase I forget someone or something comes up last minute!

My list doesn't change much, so i usually buy for the same people everyear, but if that where to happen, I could giver a child money in a card, or I also keep extra candles in the house, and could give someone a candle if it seems appropriate.

I try to keep an extra candle in the house, but haven't had to hurry to find a gift for anyone in years. No one comes to our house & besides close family, the only person I exchange gifts with is someone who has been a friend since we were four years old. We've exchanged Christmas gifts since we were in jr. high or high school.

I don't, but my gram does. She's had a Christmas gift wrapped and sitting in the living room for the past 3 years. We don't remember whats in it, but if someone unexpected ever comes over during the holidays, we'll all be excited to see what they get!

We have a year-round "gift stash" of things that we pick up throughout the year, some with specific people in mind, some general. So if a birthday surprises us or we need a quick thank-you gift, all it takes is a quick trip to the box in the basement.

We always buy a few cheap little toys for boys and girls and have them ready just in case a stray kid we weren't expecting shows up. No kid should have to watch other kids open presents without getting one. Usually for the girls it's some little baby doll or a barbie doll and for the boys it's some gun or handheld game or random action figure. And kids are awesome when you can tell they weren't expecting to get a gift and you can give them one. Of course you get branded as the house that will give anyone a Christmas present but I guess that isn't too bad when you see how happy it makes a kid.
