Santa's Sleigh Seen in Test Flight

With just hours remaining before Santa launches his sleigh from the North Pole elves in Santa's Research and Development Department are putting the finishing touches on the newest technology that will power Santa's sleigh.

Technically, we all know that Santa flys by reindeer power. But elves in R&D readily admit that Santa uses more sophisticated means to help them along. Today the sleigh was seen over the skies of Alberta, Canada in flight tests.

"We were testing the sleigh, not Santa," Elf Quinton told me. "He'll go much faster than we did because, well, he's an expert. We went as fast as we could and that was why people probably reported seeing Santa's sleigh. If Santa was the pilot they would have never seen it with the naked eye."

Stay tuned to these pages for more news on Santa and Operation Merry Christmas 2005.
