Traditions have changed over the years with grandparents dying and great-grandchildren being born, but here is our "tradition" for now---

Christmas morning I get up at 6 a.m., shower & dress. I wait for DH & DD to wake up--had to make DD get up last year (she was 3 yrs. old) DD opens gifts and stocking from Santa. DH & I open stocking gifts from each other.

On to DH's parents house for breakfast & gift exchange around 9 a.m. We stay for a while after exchanging gifts, then come back to our house to unload the van and reload with gifts for my family. Hopefully a nap will be taken during this time!

We are at my parent's house around 5 p.m. for dinner & gift exchange.

We used to have to be at at least three places on Christmas Day and that was before we had a child. We aren't as rushed now and I am able to enjoy the day more without stress and depression...
