Tips for Buying a Fresh Tree
I will do that fresh cut of the trunk.....that was my problem last Christmas.....the tree lost so many needles....even tho it was fresh....the problem was....since I didn´t cut the trunk....the tree...
We still have three fully decorated trees we light up every evening so I'm not missing the decorations yet. (The largest tree only has lights on it and they will probably come off today and that will have a negative impact.) So right now I mostly miss the Christmas movies and shows on TV. We have a good collection recorded but it was nice to channel surf and randomly find somthing Christmassy to watch.

I miss the exercise I get from parking at the opposite end of the parking lot from the mall and walking that half mile to the stores...
And free candy canes at the bank..!
You always keep my hubby and I laughing!
I have thought about this question and just have to say I miss it all! Each year, however, I do keep a few small decorations out for the year. I change it up each year. This year I am keeping a small nativity out and a few Santa's. I still have a table top Christmas tree up in my room and do not plan to put it away yet. It might stay up year round, not sure yet. My Christmas movies never get put away, I watch those year round. I have a Christmas Myspace page I maintain all year as well. Those are the few things that keep me going and cheerful!
I'm usually on Christmas burnout 1/1 through Easter. The only thing I'm really missing is the Christmas music. Because I started listening to Christmas cd's in the van on the way to work so early and then Christmas music on the radio, it's been a long time since I've listened to morning radio.
I've been tempted for the past couple of days to listen to Christmas cds on the way to work, but I think I got burnout last year from listening for so long before Christmas. I'm trying to hold out. I wish I could say the same for my eating habits!!! I've been eating like a pig for three days now. I had done so well and even lost 2 lbs. between Thanksgiving & Christmas!

I've had a very bad day missing Christmas today, I am glad this was posted today. I was at the mall today and no more decorations no Christmas music on the overhead speakers so I listened to a cd in the car. The kids were also watching Rudolph when my wife woke me up this morning. I think I miss the tree the most though, I could just stare at it and recall many great Christmases past.
