Twinkling Christmas Trees

Ok, call me goofy. But the little icons that show whether a forum has a new topic or not are really cracking me up...every time there is a new post the Christmas tree lights up. I didn't think I'd notice it with the lightness of the new forum but now I can't wait to see a new post come up so that the tree lights up.

Very cheery here in the heat of July.

sheepsnot is a new face around here!
I fully agree. I was afraid that you had turned them off, but I guess there weren't any new posts. How exactly does that work? If I stay logged in, will the trees light up if someone else posts something new? By the way, in respect of your request, you're goofy.

Each time a page refreshes you should see if there is a new post. If you're stuck on the index you shouldn't see anything until you click out of it -- say into a topic or PMs or what have you -- and then click past.

At least you didn't call me Shirley.
