This was a tough one to answer since most the movies are all so good. However I went with a christmas story, since I always liked the book in god we trust and all others pay cash.

I watch all of these every year. To have to pick just one is a toughie. I'll go Christmas Vacation. We usually watch it the day we put up outside Christmas decorations in early November and then again the week of Christmas.

I always liked Art Carney as Santa in The Night They Saved Christmas though...

I'm be the odd-woman-out who picked Santa Claus: The Movie. IMO, the first hour-ish or so (before the 20th Century appears) does a phenominal job at showing us how Santa came to be and the North Pole and whatnot. Warm fuzzies!

Another great 80'S movie that most people forget is

It Came Upon A Midnight Clear starring the wonderful Mickey Rooney. I try to watch it about 2-3 times a year.

Mickey Rooney plays Mike Halligan, a retired cop from Manhattan living in California with his family who decides to show his grandson, who has never seen snow before, what a real white Christmas in New York is like. But he dies from a sudden heart attack in which Halligan makes a deal with the Archangel of Heaven to return to Earth for a week until Christmas and show his grandson the seasonal glories of New York City.

Yea and my fav part in the movie is when Burgess Meredith shows up and proclams the new Santa.
