Atheists Gear Up for Annual Anti-God Christmas Campaign

There are many sides in the War on Christmas but none more curious than atheists who choose a season of celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ as their time to seek converts. It began this week in Washington DC with the bus-stop ads of the United Coalition of Reason, a grass-roots organization of local chapters [...]

"Curious" is a good word to describe organized chapters of atheists. They so fervently disbelieve that they feel compelled to gather and share in their disbelief?

Proselytizing is proselytizing (which is what they are doing) and I don't like it if it is an atheist or a Christian (though I find the latter much more acceptable than the former). They claim belief in God doesn't bother them but clearly they, to me, appear quite threatened by the Babe in the manger.

It is my opinion, as I have said before, whomever or whatever may do as planned but Christmas WILL ALWAYS BE because I for one am NOT going to let it be stomped out.

I like to think that if they haven't stopped Christmas in the last 2,010 (approximately) years, they won't be able to do it now. However, that doesn't mean I like seeing them try. The Constitution guarantees free speech for all citizens, not just certain groups. Wouldn't you think that means that Religious Christmas decorations would be allowed in public places? I get so tired of going to the malls in my area (Glen Burnie, MD), and seeing NO Christmas decorations whatsoever, just because (and this is what I was told by Customer Service) "we have to be sure we don't offend anyone". I don't like offending people either, but I think that we've taken this too far.

Everything these days is so upside down it seems. what is logical straightforward is now really illogical, what is right is all of a sudden wrong. up is down...etc etc. I don't like the fact we have become so PC lately. I know I could get offended everyday IF I did not realize that here in america we all can have different beliefs and opinions and that is what makes it so great to me at least! and I have to believe most people feel the same way.

I am not religious but I think that people need to just quit it already with changing Christmas.

It's Christmas, its fine the way it is and always has been - leave it alone.

I personally think Christmas should be displayed in public weather non religious or religious people like it or don't. The "PC" way of thinking these days has spun out of control. When I was in school; it was a Halloween party/carnival, it was a Christmas party! Around Christmas we watched Christmas movies in class (usually the last day before Christmas break) and decorated the classroom for Christmas. I don't get why we need to call it "holiday break" to avoid offending people. It's just sad that is has come to this as far as "including everyone." Christmas did include everyone at one time - don't know about now. I am all for live and let live - leave people alone to celebrate how they want.
