Anyone else?

Hi all! It has been a terribly long time since I've actually interacted here on the forums. *hangs head in shame* I'm extremely busy now with my book blog. I review a lot of books for publishers and authors (for no money). Am I crazy? No! I just love books and reading. I do have a small side gig with a publisher now that pays me a smidge, but otherwise, it's all for the love of books. It keeps me VERY busy!

Anyway, so glad to be back and what I was wanting to know was if anyone else is having to do a major home organization before Christmas and being able to decorate? Because I am! I guess I'm just looking for some moral support. My house is in a state and I'm hoping I can get it done so I can at least start decorating right after Thanksgiving. Share your house nightmares with me. Maybe we can give each other some encouragment!

Good evening !!

We aren't doing a major home organization but we did just have a new furnace put in. It was a nightmare !! We have cats and dogs and the furnace guys did not heed our pleading to please close the doors behind them when they went in and out. We had the cats stowed away but after a while they were tired of being "captive". It was so stressful. Then when the new furnace was lit, as it is an oil furnace and new, there was an initial period where smoke filled the house slightly. Of course ALL the smoke alarms went off all at once !!! What a horrible experience !! We thought we would NEVER live through it but we did and now we have a new furnace before the Holidays and before Winter and it was SO worth the inconvenience !!!

Hope your home rennovation get finished soon. Nothing like having your home sweet home torn up !!
