Our Christmas Day is small, just a few people. No big dinner, just mostly snacking on the previous night's leftovers. By Dec 25 we are usually wore out, and like to use the day for nothing but relaxation.

Most of our larger gatherings occur on Christmas Eve. For the past twenty years our Christmas Eve's have been with around ten people, but this year we are re-establishing an old tradition, and having over people and family members that were part of our yearly Christmas Eve get-together through the late-70's to mid-80's, but for whatever reason slipped away. Then, we were kids. Now, we all have our own families, so we may have, I don't know, twenty-five...thirty people over?!?!

Should be hectic, frantic, and filled with amazing memories and laughter.

Just another reason why Christmas is so amazing.

On Christmas Eve we go to my uncles and there is usually at least 15 people.

Christmas Day is at my house and again around 15 people.

It slightly varies because my brother and his family are invited but not sometimes they can make it and sometimes they can't.

IN ALL THE EXCITEMENT I TEND TO LOSE TRACK OF THE ACTUAL DAYS OF CHRISTMAS, BUT MY SISTER & HER FAMILY (HER DAUGHTER NOW GROWN W/ HER OWN FAMILY) LIVE ABOUT 3 HOURS AWAY SO RIGHT AFTER CHRISTMAS WE TAKE A TRIP TO THEIR HOME FOR A COUPLE DAYS & HAVE CHRISTMAS THERE. CHRISTMAS EVE THERE'S NOT ANYTHING FORMAL. WE WILL MAYBE VISIT SOME FRIENDS & FAMILY WE DON'T GET TO SEE 'ROUND THEN (IF THEIR HOME) & CHRISTMAS DAY MY FAMILY OF FIVE, MY BROTHER-IN-LAW, MY PARENTS, MY BROTHER W/ HIS GIRLFRIEND, MY NEPHEW & MAYBE HIS DAUGHTER, WILL ALL GET TOGETHER @ MY HOME FOR A BIG DINNER & THEN AS IT HAPPENS IF SOMEONE HAS A FRIEND THAT HAS NOTHING GOING ON THAT DAY, WE ALWAYS HAVE THEM OVER TOO. IT USUALLY TURNS INTO A WONDERFUL DAY FILLED W/ LOTS OF FUN. WE TALK, PLAY GAMES(USUALLY SOMETHING I'VE THOUGHT UP), EAT, & JUST TRY TO MAKE IT LAST AS LONG AS POSSIBLE! I DO HAVE TO WATCH MY BROTHER & NEPHEW, & A FEW OTHERS TO MAKE SURE THEIR NOT GETTING "TOO HAPPY W/ THE NOG", IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN! I LOVE EVERY SECOND, THEN WHEN WE GO TO MY SISTERS, SHE HAS 2 YOUNG GRANDSONS WHO LIVE JUST DOORS DOWN FROM HER, I GET TO ENJOY MY GREAT NEPHEWS & ALL THE FAMILY, & I GET TO SEE THE MAGIC IN THOSE BOYS EYES OF CHRISTMAS. I DO ENJOY MY KIDS BUT THEY'RE 14, 18, & 20, & WE ALL KNOW BY THAT AGE IT CHANGES A BIT.
