Another war on "Merry Christmas"

This is from our local paper and seriously, by the end I was wanting to go make this guy choke down some figgy pudding.

http://www.fayobserver.com/articles/...3438?sac=Local

You can see which way he goes just by the headline. But read the whole thing and tell me what you think. Oh yea and there is a place where you can comment on his story at the end of the article.....

I really should avoid logging into my computer as soon as I roll out of bed . I think my blood pressure just went up 20 points from the first 2 paragraphs alone. The term 'pot meet kettle' came to my mind while reading!

Looks like Ole Myron is about to get his rearend chewed. People are not looking at him in a positive light right now. I am never sorry for saying, "Merry Christmas." It is what it is.

He's got it wrong in that most Christmas believers don't bristle when we hear "Happy Holidays"---we bristle when our saying "Merry Christmas" is frowned upon as insensitive. I don't insist on others saying "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays," but I DO get my back up when the greeting "Merry Christmas" is prohibited as though it's a wrong thing to say. I think it's Mr. Myron B. Pitts (and it's hard to take that name seriously) who is being a bit reactionary ...

I'm wearing my Merry Christmas Pin every day so that those who want to say "Merry Christmas" around me will feel free to do so, instead of worrying about what the "proper" greeting is.

I dunno know who all commented but the story is up to 68 comments as of now. Jeff and all who posted- THANKS SO MUCH!!!!! This guy is a thorn in our side. He is right everyone else is wrong EVEN when they agree with him. There was a story a few years ago where he actually said it was WRONG for parents to tell the story of Santa. How about that?
This man needs a good swift kick in the tush for pushing everything he WANTS to believe in off on other people. When you disagree with him he will whine and moan about it for awhile then move on. In the spirit of the season though- I do wish him a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAP----PY NEW YEAR!!!!
