Yes, I do remember running around with joyful abandon--but it was OUTSIDE!!! Also, "It's Your Party" to do what you want. I love my children, but I also wanted to enjoy adult parties, too, where I did not have to be the family police!!

Been there, done that! You do not have to explain yourself! A few suggestions: One time I hired a babysitter to watch the kids at the home of another parent. Everybody ended up pitching in on the price of the babysitter, so it was a win-win situation. Another time, I set up a room for kids where they could play, watch movies/cartoons, and have refreshments. That worked out great, too, except so many kids were tired and had to sleep on the floor. Many parents would LOVE an adults-only party!!!
