Anyone has any tips on how to get the kids to bed on Christmas Eve??? I need to be fully prepared for next year!! hahaha
We had a very busy Christmas Eve. My daughter refused to go to bed and my son kept waking up everytime he heard my daughter. It was gone midnight when all was quiet in my house.
At least the kids didnt wake up until 7.45! But I got to be honest by 6pm I was absolutely shattered!!!
My daughter woke us up that morning and shouted 'Mammy Santa have been' So I quickly grabbed my video camera and got the baby and ran downstairs lol. The first thing my son saw was his bike, he was like'' Bike, Bike'' and then when he saw Buzz Lightyear it was like all his Christmasses came at once!! What a picture!!
My husband got up and made a coffee, I think he was so tired after walking up and down the stairs checking if the kids were asleep haha.
Due to family problems my Christmas dinner that was for 14 people narrowed down to just us four. So it was the first Christmas dinner I ever cooked and the first one I ever spent in my own home. So it was a proper little Christmas for us. We had everything from roasted veg, stuffing, roast potatoes, mashed veg, sprouts, bacon and sausage (pigs in blankets I think they are also know as) red cabbage and apple.....and we had Beef instead of Turkey. And I did it all myself! (yep, im proud of myself)
But, y'know it didnt really feel like Christmas this year, so roll on the next one
