God bless you sweetheart. She sounded a lot like my grandmother. I've always felt like my grandmother will be the first person to meet me when I get to heaven. I'll bet your will be right there for you too.

you are all so kind, thanks so much for your support.

i'm taking comfort in the fact that it's not forever, i'll be with her again one day. i talk to her everyday, i have her pictures up around my home, so to me she hasn't gone anywhere. she's always with me.

i cannot begin to tell you what an inspiration this woman has been and the influence she has had on my life. she was more like a mother to me, and i am going to be lost without her.

she was 91 years old and had the most beautiful spirit you could imagine. my mum lived with her and had done since i was 11 years old, so she practically raised me.

she became ill with pneumonia at the beginning of december, she fought and fought and fought it, but finally god took her on the first sunday of the new year, and i am so pleased and blessed that i got to spend the last 72 hours of her life right by her side. i got to tell her things i wanted her to know and she reminded me just how much she loved me and how i brightened her days up.

she had a terrible start to life, she lost her beloved mother when she was 8 years old, then her father died the day of her mother's funeral. she then went to live with her sister and her husband and my grandmother was beaten on a regular basis by the sister's husband. she had a younger brother whom she adored and raised as her own, she lost him in terrible tragic circumstances and found it hard to carry on... until she met my grandfather who changed her life. she had 7 children, 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren who all worshipped the ground she walked on, because she was honestly the most amazing woman you could meet, nothing got her down, she lived life and was always smiling. she lost my beloved grandafther on christmas morning 1993, but still celebrated and enjoyed christmas.

as hard as this coming christmas will be without her, i plan on having the most amazing christmas 2011, as this is what my nan would have wanted. i know she'll be looking down on me and will help me to have a wondeful 2011!
she sounds like an amazing woman and I know you will miss her.
