Denying Christmas in July

Can anyone be blamed for longing for Christmas in this heat? I read with interest this blog about a man and his wife who received their first Christmas catalogue on July 10th. Is there something wrong with that? I don’t know a thing about Gooseberry Patch, the retailer that sent him the catalogue. But I [...]

You can say that again. My husband and I actually went last night and looked at things for the kids for Christmas. I don't have a job right now and I'm going back to school, planning my oldest daughter's wedding (It's not until Oct. 2008, but we are doing it all ourselves), getting ready for 2 kids in high school (freshman and senior) and one to start kindergarten. I have to plan ahead and start early or nothing will get done!

I recieved my Gooseberry Patch catalog and I love it. First of all, it's not a Christmas catalog. It's a catalog that does have some Christmas items in it. It also has some Thanksgiving, Halloween, Fourth of July and just plain old stuff in it. This guy needs to stop complaining if his only problem is that he received a catalog with Christmas items in it in July. I can think of a billion other things to complain about that are real issues.

He is probably one of those who panics when the holidays roll around cause either he have no clue what he is doing and no money or not enough money for the holidays. Personally I would rather much enjoy the holidays taking in the sights and sounds and relaxing with friends and family then rushing around like an idiot trying to get things done. Things that can be done ahead of time with ease. The Clueless Twit!

Hey I am another one who got married in October.

There's no heat over here. Send some please. Along with some Christmas catalogues. Ta!

An aside, my experience with Gooseberry Patch has been nothing but negative. I wouldn't do business with them ever again.

Awe Merry Sage, I'm sorry to hear that you've had bad luck w/ Goosberry Patch. I love all their down home country cooking type things! I collect their cookbooks. Great recipes! I get a weekly (usually more than once a week) email w/ a free recipe & news.

I think the guy who is complaining about Christmas in July should get a life!! Minta, you cracked me up "the clueless twit!" Lol!!
