I think this is a first............
I woke up after the surgery with a scrape behind my teeth/under my tongue area where I figured obviously the tube had been for the anaesthetic. Over the course of the next couple of weeks, instead of going away, it got infected. Went to the Dentist who confirmed that there was an infection, yes, they had been a bit rough and here, take these antibiotics. You're coming in for a check-up in a couple of weeks anyway (which was today) so I'll make sure everything is back to normal
The antibiotics certainly calmed things down but didn't clear it entirely and over the last couple of days, a scab seemed to form where the scrape was. The Dentist had a look today, said - oh, hasn't totally cleared, has it? Oh, what's this...........poke, poke, pull, pull
He then showed me a 1/4 inch piece of bone between his tweezers which had made its way through the gum and was the "scab" I thought I felt
I've got it home with me - what the HE LL were they doing in there???????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Am I the only person ever to have gone in for a hysterectomy and come out minus a bit of jawbone???!!
