This is my grandmother's recipe for Pecan Logs. She used to make these every year and give them to each of her eight children (and their families) at Christmas. A few years ago she taught me how to make them so I could carry on the tradition
This recipe makes a large log that could easily be cut in half or more for multiple gifts. Hope you enjoy!
1 lb. box Graham Cracker Crumbs
1 lb. Pecans, chopped into small pieces
1 lb. Box Raisins
2/3 of a 1 lb. bag Marshmallows
1 to 1 1/2 cans Eagle Brand Milk
Mix crumbs, pecans, raisins and marshmallows. Add milk. Mix ingredients and pack them together tightly (it helps to butter your hands). Form a tight log shape. Wrap in foil and refrigerate for several hours. Slice and serve.
