Christmas Controversy & Opinion Presented by Defend Christmas, this forum covers the difficult topics of the season -- from the famed and fabled War on Christmas to church and state debates to using the star or the angel on the Christmas tree. Modern Christmas celebration has it's complications -- schools are divided, some Christmas light displays are too much, some even argue that it is better to call it a "holiday" tree. Some merchants won't even say "Merry Christmas"! Where there is controversy, there is insanity. Even in Christmas.

Tips for Buying a Fresh Tree

If a voice is like a snowflake, and a blizzard comes then we are all heard. That was an awesome story! I commend you on your fight. I wish more people were like you and stood up for their beliefs. After all, aren't some politicians humans? LOL
I did not mean to imply I did it alone. There were many church friends that helped. I am now officially a member of 12 churches too. There were school groups and church groups all in on it. When they declared war on Christmas I told ya'll I was calling my Congresswoman. No one took me serious but I did and it was fun.
But as I said before if one voice...... you had the drive to make it happen. More people should do the same. If we stay quiet about Christmas and allow those few people to bully us into it, Christmas will be scarce. Keep the memories and traditions alive and all those non-believers be ****ed, unless of course we can convert them.
Here is another shining example of what is wrong with our society. I don't want to turn this into a political forum since this isn't one, but this clearly is the work of the far left in this country.....especially since this is from New Hampshire.
I also read where the shopkeepers agreed with the decision. I would say to those who live in that area who were upset with this decision, that they not shop at the stores who supported this silly decision.
Again I say that its time that we stand up to these people before they run us over and probably one day remove Christmas all together!
They already are running over us and that's why they get away with doing what they are doing. Most of these people are from another country and don't know our traditions or know better. The store owners are just trying to go with the flow and not rock the boat or they are in so far that they have no choice. I agree with you on the shopping elsewhere, but that doesn't really impact them as much as it should. Those store/shop keepers don't understand that the $$$ keep them going. Unfortunately, the politicians have forgotten what it's like to be human. They are like the Borgs of Star Trek, they have already been assimilated and can't think for themselves or for their voters. I am afraid that soon all holidays will be cancelled, banned, taboo and so on. That in itself will be a day I don't want to be here. I know that Christmas is a holiday, but it's a season. A season of love and joy. Obvioulsy those people don't want to be happy or feel love or joy. They must not feel shame either, but then again most people today (kids in general) do not know shame as we did (40 or older) growing up. Shame on those who don't believe or are afraid to believe.
