My Dog Sam
Dear Abby, I too was picked on when I was a child and I too turned to our dog Queenie. She always gave me love and she always listened. Bless you.
Great suggestion by what you already mentioned and, Xmas365. They list can go on and on because there are so many out there. The really young ones (maybe the 10 year old) would probably like, Christmas Eve on Sesame Street. That is one of my very favorites. I watch that one alone even when the grandchildren are not here! I have LOTS of favorites so the list can get really long, you might take a look at the list Xmas posted.
"Babes in Toyland" (aka "March of the Wooden Soldiers") with Laurel & Hardy. It was made in 1934, but there are two beautifully colorized versions out on video. Lots of silly comedy that a child would appreciate, pretty music, and Mother Goose characters, plus a little bit of scariness toward the end with a happy ending. If you want to know more about it, I did a five-minute featurette about the movie for the Merry Podcast last year---you can listen to it here. (Click the link to stream it, or right-click to download it and listen later.)
Santa Paws.....it is a cute movie....I think it is a Disney production...and as the name hints....there are dogs in it....cute kids....a cute story....of course it is kinda corny...but too cute.....my now 6-year-old adores this movie
Merry Christmas to All and God bless You

Yes, Mickey Mouse Twice upon a Christmas is excellent, my grandchildren love to watch it. I also got the Mickey Mouse once upon a Christmas but it's more cartoonish graphics so the 2nd is our favorite.
