I cannot believe how many awesome deals I've found over the past few months. We found toys on clearance with an additional 50% off at K-Mart a couple of months ago that allowed us to buy:

A $30.00 American Girl "type" doll for $2
A $29.00 ride/walker toy for $5
A $40.00 set of Tinker Toys for $11
A $25.00 special edition princess Barbie for $7

We also found an officially Licensed, never opened Chicago Bears watch at the local resale shop for my Brother-in-law. Price brand new? $45.00 - we paid less than $10!

I paid $5.00 each for the first two seasons of Roseanne - one of my sister's favorite shows!

We got a $45 hair styler for my niece on clearance for $9

We paid $5 for fleece throws that were going for $25 LAST Christmas (we picked one up for my sister-in-law, my mother and my mother-in-law).

And just this last weekend we found a Toy Story 3 Operation game that 'was' going for $29 when I saw it at Barnes and Noble a while back. I snagged it for $9 on clearance at my local Wal-Mart.

These deals were just too good to pass up so we snapped them up and put them aside for Christmas gifts. My original list of 19 people (excluding the hubs) is now whittled down to just 8 more people!!!

People think I'm nuts Christmas shopping so early but with Christmas almost always on the brain I've always got my eye out for a 'perfect' gift and when we can find that gift for less than 1/2 the regular price why not? It makes the budget much easier to manage come December!

Am I the only one who does this? My shelves are starting to look like Santa's toy factory but this allows us to buy much 'nicer' gifts than we would ordinarily be able to afford and I figured that, even if the general world rolls their eyes and says "ugh, Christmas! I can't believe you're already shopping for Christmas!" My friends here at MMC would understand my excitement!
Great finds, Sunshine73!

You are not the only one who does this I can assure you! And people think I am nuts too. Why wait until Christmas is right around the corner to shop when you can do it all year and get great deals?

I am sitting here brainstorming father's day gifts and I have now moved on to Christmas gifts!

Great finds! I've been keeping my eye out for great deals.Nothing wrong with picking up gifts as you see them.that's something my older sister taught me.I can remember her coming home from work in the middle of summer tellin' us I scored a gift for dad at the store on my lunch break.I've always thought it was smart shopping.

Probably much better to buy gifts throughout the year, than wait till November or December. I never start gift shopping early, but if I was smart I would. Much better way to budget, not to mention take the pressure off trying to find gift ideas at the last minute. One of these years I'll learn.

Whoa whoa WHOA! I'm a "men" and I never snoop! I LOVE the element of surprise and the excitement of not knowing what's in a package! Don't lump me in with those oversized kids.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to work on my letter to Santa.
