The Top Classic Christmas Commercials of all time!

Okay, so what are the top, classic Christmas commercials of all time?

I stumbled across this video, which proclaims these are the Top 10 Christmas commercials of all time, and I would agree, those do seem to be the best of the best, but I would replace the creepy "puppet dogs" with the classic Folgers comemrcial (see below).

Are there any other classics out there that I've forgotten?

I have a soft spot for a series of Amazon.com commercials that ran in 1999. They were near-perfect re-creations of the old "Sing Along with Mitch" shows of the 1960s. And last year I missed "the power of cheese" commercial in which the little girl gets a huge haul of gifts because she left Santa cheese for a snack instead of milk and cookies.

And if you want to go WAY back--- the Norelco Nick.

(Apologies for the lack of links ... can't look 'em up right now!)

We get those on the radio, too ... which reminds me of a local radio spot that (regrettably) ran only one year, then vanished. A local menswear shop ran a singing commercial: "Jingle pants, jingle pants ..."

I got to thinking: I think last year was the first year I can recall NOT seeing that classic M&M commercial "They DO exist!". I'm pretty sure it stopped airing in the last couple of years. Does anyone else remember seeing it last Christmas season?

If so, then it's now definitely a part of history (classic commercial history, that is).

I'm trying to remember the years some of these aired (or when they first came out).

The "Ronald McDonald ice-skating" was from 1986 to 1990 roughly, right?

The Folgers commercial was from '85 to '90 as well, I believe.

The "Fruity Pebbles" commercial was from 1992 to 1997, I think...

The "Coca Cola trucks" were from 1996 to 1999 roughly, right? Weren't the coca cola trucks replaced by the polar bears in the early '00's?

The hershey kisses bell ringing commercial was from...1999 to 2005 roughly?

And that M&M commercial...didn't it first air in the early '00's? Or maybe it first aired in 1998 or 1999...

This article I found from 2007 says they were still airing the M&M commercial back then, and that he thinks the hershey kisses commercial had stopped airing in the last year or two (and that was in 2007):

Anyone remember for certain?

I do remember seeing it last Christmas season! Only a couple of times but I was quite excited because it's one of my favorite Christmas adverts - I remember giving an excited shout to my husband when I saw it. However, I do not believe that I saw it the year before.

I miss some of those commercials - they bring back such happy childhood holiday memories. I totally agree with adding the Folger's commercial - that one can STILL make me tear up.
