I usually put indoor/outdoor fall decorations out the first week of September. Those come down the first few days of October when we put all the Halloween stuff out. After that comes more fall and Thanksgiving decorations the first days of November. We put the Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving but don't put anything else Christmasy out until Black Friday. By December 1st all the Christmas decorations are up!

I like to have all my decorations up for at least a month before I have to take them down and put something else out!

The weekend before or after the start of fall we will decorate inside and outside for fall/halloween. Outside we do corn stalks, hay bales, scare crows, real pumpkins of all sizes (we carve a pumpkin or 2 a couple days before halloween). String garland of fall leaves with orange lighst around the deck and step rails. Black lights (actually dark purple lights) around the front bushes. inflatable pumpkins and blow mold pumpkins. Fall Wreath on the front door.
Nov 1st the pumkins and black lights come down and the inflatable turkey goes up.

Thanksgiving weekend all fall decorations come down and Christmas decorations go up.

I have to control myself and not start decorating too early. By August 1st I'm already thinking fall and Halloween, but I try to control myself until at least September 1st before I decorate for fall. I dont always suceed though!

November 1st I take down Halloween and put up Thanksgiving, but my poor turkeys never make it to Turkey Day because I just can't wait to put up my Christmas items.

I do tend to take my decorations down fairly quickly. I think because I put them up so early it feels like it's been long enough for me.

Feb. 1: Valentine's Day stuff stays out until Feb 28/29

Easter: April 1st or earlier if Easter is in March that year & it stays out until April 30.

Independence Day: If I remember it, the flag goes out the whole month

Fall: September 1 & stays out through Thanksgiving. I have a few Halloween pieces that go out October 1.

Christmas: The Saturday after Thanksgiving through January 1.

I have different yard flags to go out throughout the year, but I forget to change them out alot.

I very much want to hang my fall wreath outside now, but I think it would look odd on this 103 degree day.

Since I live with my parents, my mum is deciding when we put our decorations up.

We usually do seasonal decorations like this:

Spring decorations starts arount March and stays up until June. Sommer decorations are up from Summer to September/October (depending on the weather). Fall decorations are up from September/October until a week before the first advent and stays until Epiphany.
