My Dog Sam
Dear Abby, I too was picked on when I was a child and I too turned to our dog Queenie. She always gave me love and she always listened. Bless you.
Yeah, it is coming up quick, isn't it? I am hosting for my family this year, although not a big group, most of the neices/nephews are grown, married with kids of their own. With my step son dying in a car accident in August, it's going to be a difficult holiday season, but I'm glad my husband suggested we host Thanksgiving this year, will be nice to focus on cooking/cleaning/decorating etc., rather than just on missing him.

I agree! I feel so unprepared this year! I don't even have my list done and normally I am 1/2 done shopping (black friday rush tops it off I am feeling a bit rushed, which is not cool. I like to enjoy the season! Thanksgiving is at my in-laws, so I won't be doing much besides making a dish or two and cleaning up afterwards. I AM excited that I have made the 300 points at my local supermarket for a free turkey/ham (I have to figure out when this expires since I make ham for Christmas, but I don't want to buy it in November lol!)

Lst night at church the TeAm Kids leader told the kids that we would have a pizza party in a few weeks, probably the week before Thanksgiving. I told her that would make the party next week! She decided to make the party the week AFTER Thanksgiving.
It is sneaking up on us. We have finalized our plans for Thanksgiving, so just waiting for the day to get here. I am trying to get ready for Christmas so I can relax & enjoy the season. I just need to get suggestions for gifts for our parents & figure out what to do for DD's teachers. I am behind on Christmas shopping since I like to be finished by Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving is sure coming fast. Two weeks from today is Black Friday! YIKES! I can't wait to decorate. We bought our turkey, and I have just about all I need for my dinner. I still have a few more things to buy, but I'm almost ready.
