Looking at that list on 100,000 watts.com,
one thing I notice? A LOT of the battleground states from this last election have radio stations that have switched over to holiday music. A sign they're glad to be done with the election and ready for the holidays?!?
Also, no radio stations in my state of Missouri yet?!? Well, that's about to change...
On the local radio station we listen to here in my office, it was getting ridiculous hearing the number of commercials for Christmas related stuff: Christmas shows, Christmas sales, etc.
So I called up the radio DJ and asked when the Christmas music starts, saying the number of Christmas commercials outnumber the number of songs played each hour. They laughed and said the Christmas music starts tomorrow morning.
I then went to their website
, and I noticed that they had recently changed their background to reflect their holiday format change. I should've gone there sooner, when a radio station changes their design, that's usually a good signal that the switch to holiday music is coming real soon.
Looking forward to it!
