I was just reading up on them last week and they seem to be a good (early) crop that likes and does well planting with some cooler temperatures. Did you go with a bush or pole type? I could have got them in the ground around here if the soil wasn't so damp and cold, which could cause the seeds to rot. I'm going to hold off a few weeks untill the ground temperature raises somewhat especially since they are calling for rain here on Thursady evening into Friday.
This year, I really want to look at some different things to plant that do well but don't eat up all the garden space. I built and planted a nice size strawberry raised bed last year and I really can't wait to see if they survived the winter...
