Music Scripture doesn't say it be we know those angels were singing at the manger. And music has been the heart of Christmas ever since.

Way too tough, but if I had to pick three...

Percy Faith - Music of Christmas
Ray Conniff - Christmas with Conniff
Bert Kaempfert - Christmas Wonderland

My top 3 desert island discs would probably be:
1. Perry Como Sings Merry Christmas Music. My parents own this on vinyl, cassette, CD, and digital. Growing up, my sister and I weren't allowed to descend the stairs and get our first glimpse of the tree until we heard the first notes of Perry's recitation of "Twas the Night Before Christmas"
2. Bing Crosby's I Wish You a Merry Christmas (later reissued as Christmas Classics). This is the one from the 60's that doesn't include "White Christmas" but does have the barn dance classic "Christmas Dinner, Country Style"
3. The Carpenters' Christmas Portrait, the CD version. It's basically one 75-minute track

If I could sneak a few extras onto the island they'd be:
4. Leon Redbone's Christmas Island. The best version of Frosty the Snowman anywhere
5. The Most Fabulous Christmas Album Ever. A compilation with an album cover featuring an ice queen pulled in a sleigh by two pink poodles. What's not to love?
6. Willie Nelson's Pretty Paper. Willie (and Trigger) singing some Christmas tunes

My "just shoot me" tracks:
1. Christmas Shoes. I always wonder if the kid isn't pulling a con on the narrator.
2. Dan Fogelberg's Same Auld Lang Syne. Two lonely people get drunk in their car on Christmas Eve and the woman apparently gets away with DUI... Happy Holidays!
3. All I Want For Christmas Is my Two Front Teeth. The grandfather of Christmas novelty songs. I blame it for the ones that followed.
