We watched Christmas Story last Friday and tonight we are watching Jingle all the way. We will be watching a movie every Friday night until the ABC Family countdown to Christmas starts. We may miss a Friday or 2 during all of the Halloween specials. My kids love the Halloween Town shows on Disney, so if those are on they will want to watch them.

you know, I was pleasantly surprised. I had assumed that, because I had never heard of it, and had not seen anyone comment on it on any Christmas forum, and my best friend had never heard of it, (who loves old movies and has several old Christmas movies) that it must not be too good. But, I was wrong.
There is very little about Christmas in it, but it's still very well done, charming, I"d say, I guess. I don't know why it's not more well known. There is another one I am considering getting but have not seen any comments or threads on that one, either, but then I haven't searched, but it is called "Holiday Affair" and stars Robert Mitchum and Janet Leigh.I
I'm not sure how much you want to know about "It Happened on 5th Avenue", and I don't want to spoil it for you or anyone, but basically, it's about a hobo who moves, uninvited, into a wealthy man's home for the winter. He meets others and invites them to live there, too. Some pretty funny and interesting things happen involving the guests, not to mention the wealthy man and his daughter.

I'm currently watching Home Alone on one of the Cartoon Network channels. I watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation earlier this week. As we get deeper into October, I'm getting more and more ready for the season to be here!!!
