Nothing like that sound of the crackle. Try to listen to my vinyl records as much as i can each year.

That was a great channel

Yes. Gone gone gone. The owner/operator offered the whole kit and caboodle for sale before he permanently closed the site. I mean, the studio equipment, records, domain name/website...everything! The price was too high for me to even think about; talk about an opportunity! Obviously there were no takers, at least none that kept the internet station going. Sad.

Your description of the sound of vinyl is spot on!

I really like the pipe organ sound!

They used to run silent films, and Floyd Werle usually played the organ there. The organ would come up out of the orchestra pit on the hydraulic lift for an "overture" before the movie, and come up again after the movies to play the audience out of the theater. I have some videotape and audiotape of that organ. I rarely missed a silent film there!

I've picked up several theater organ albums through the years. Do you have the two-LP set of Christmas music played on the Radio City Music Hall organ?
Did somebody say Christmas organ music?!?!? I wish I had more time (I'll be back) to find all the sources to download ripped and shared vinyl featuring Christmas organ music. For now though...

There are ALOT of Christmas Songs I love but when I hear Charlie Brown's "Christmas time is here" that takes me back to when I was a kid.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I didn't get to listen to much of it, but what I heard I really liked. I hope somebody worthy got the vinyl collection!

Oh ... my ... Lord! And that's not even a complete list ... How do you do it?? I think you have a basement full of RadioJonD clones cataloguing all this stuff. Or a machine to suspend time, or something.

Most of this stuff is in the Archived Online thread...or secretly stashed here. The only thing I have to do is remember putting them there which is kind of tricky these days!

White Christmas always will remind me of my dad. One year at christmas my parents had sold their house and I was getting divorced my daughter was little. My parents and brother were in a apartment and I moved home. I didnt feel well Christmas eve so I had gone to lay down and watch tv in my bedroom. My Dad came in I was watching the movie and he sat on my bed talking to me while I watched the movie. Dad I love and will miss you this year but I know you will be with me while I watch this movie with all the wonderful songs.
