I am deeply sorry to hear that you lost your father. I understand how heartbreaking it is for you and your family. When I lost my father I couldn't bare the thought of christmas without him but with each one that went by we were able to move forward with the comfort of the memories we all shared. It will be different without him especially the first christmas but as time goes by it wil get easier.

Continue taking it one day at a time and allow yourself time to grieve. My heart goes out to you and I pray that you and your family continue to have courage and faith.

......and yes you have been blessed with a very special angel indeed.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father! I hope that together with the help of your family you can all move forward one day at a time! He would want you to celebrate & enjoy Christmas & all the holidays & family functions! It will never be the same, but it can still be good! Christmas 2012 was the 1st Christmas without my brother & it was hard, we missed him like crazy! But he wouldn't have wanted us to change a thing about our celebration. We quoted him a lot over the holidays, and had many laughs - being with family (who are all going through the same thing) is a huge help & a great support system. Sending prayers up for you & your family!

I am so sorry for your loss, Rebecca.
You & your family are in my thoughts & prayers.

Just a thought, but is there a Christmas tradition that your Dad loved? Maybe you could implement that into your holiday celebrations this year. God bless.

((Hugs))

Sorry for your loss. Perhaps you could celebrate Christmas with Dad by observing one of his favorite Christmas traditions.

When I lost my dad I felt the same and that first Christmas without him was hard. There were a lot of tears, but also laughter as we shared wonderful stories of Christmas past. Yes it will be different.
Last year I took dads old sweater that we saw in almost every picture for years, and made it into a small Christmas ornament for everyone. They all remembered that sweater and the tears started again. (and that was 14 years later!)
So find something special to share with the family and cry a little and laugh a little and enjoy each others company and love this Christmas.
((((HUGS))))
so sorry for your loss

I am deeply sorry for your loss and can understand. I lost my dad the year before last and the first Christmas was different for sure. But trust me when I say it will get better and if you remember the good times and know your dad would not want you to feel bad..just trust that it will get better. And hanging around here helps a ton!!

I am so sorry about the loss of your Dad.

I lost my Mom on May 1st, 2012 and Christmas and the holidays in general were very tough and it becomes a "new normal". I agree def reliving the good times and keeping his memory alive will give you comfort.

Lots of prayers and HUGS for you.
