These come to mind immediately: "In the Bleak Midwinter" (I like James Taylor's), Dolly's "Hard Candy Christmas" usually does me in. There are much older carols like "Down In Yon Forest" that are darker. One you start Youtubing, you'll get other suggestions.
Gosh, I almost forgot "Pretty Paper" by Roy Orbison!
"Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" is awfully melancholy, too, especially the original movie lyrics. (And THOSE were rewritten to make them less bleak!)
