Thanks! It is gas. When we bought our house it was a wood burning fireplace, but my brother was looking for one & my hubby didn't want to be chopping wood all the time, so my brother took the wood burner in exchange for making new trim work for our house & we got a gas one! Still love the smell of a wood burner though.

Crazy weather! We have had & are supposed to continue with mid 70's through the day but lows close to 40!

Oil is so darn expensive, grr!
I wish I could hold out until Dec 1st but with our neighborhood up against the Delaware River and only a few houses bewtween us and the river there is no way that will happen. I am hoping we can hold out until Nov. We have gas heat so its not as bad ... I couldnt imagine having those oil bill.

LOL... yes, I don't think my husband and kids would be able to hold out. Me? I could just throw on an extra sweater!

Our house in the city had gas... how I miss those days! We briefly looked into switching to gas but our heater is only about 14 years old and is a top of the line one that is known to last 30+ years, so it just doesn't make financial sense. Oh well! We do have lovely radiators, which are so nice to sit on when it's cold!

WE haven't needed our heat yet, but it has cooled down quite a bit. Tonight, my husband will light our wood burning stove for the first time this season. We're really looking forward to relaxing downstairs in the family room tonight enjoying the fire.

I have noticed earlier today that heaters in the flat were warm! I guess our landlord has set the heating to come up automatically in every early morning and evening because we had pretty chilly nights in last few days and the temperature hasn't risen above 12C/54F during the days. I think that the heating will be off if the temperature increases again but anyway, I can still officially state that the heating has already came up for the first time this season! ^^

Autumns Here, is your heating on yet?

Not yet we have had a few night to have a blanket on the bed. Next week it will dip into the mid 40"s again for lows, I am looking forward to the leaves turning and the first snow.
