Usually, not until after Thanksgiving. But with Thanksgiving so late this year, it may be sooner...

We usually start buying our outdoor lighting as soon as it hits the shelves in early October. The outside lights start going up the day before thanksgiving and usually takes a couple of days. The tree and inside decorations start on thanksgiving afternoon. That's been our tradition ever since our boys were little.

this year I will start directly after Halloween.. But it will go slow.
After a Achilles Tendon rupture and the surgery to fix it, I still have to use a Walker. And all my decoration is in the basement..

I know I posted in this thread last year, but I will post here again, since it's a new year! We will start decorating the weekend of Thanksgiving. We usually do Black Friday, but DH works and I work the night before, so there won't be much decorating that day. I may wrap some gifts once I get up on Black Friday, plus do some online shopping!

We start decorating the week of (American) Thanksgiving, putting up a little bit each day, until the finale the Friday after Thanksgiving, when the tree goes up
