Outdoor Decorations

We're always talking about how we decorate our homes for the Holidays, but how do you decorate the outside of your home? As we've gotten older, we don't decorate as much outside as we have in the past. This year, we're planning on putting lights around our front door. We have a lighted wreath that will be on the brick front of our house. Also, we will put lights around the lamppost in the front yard, then to finish the job, we have some wooden decorations that we stick in the lawn. It's simple, but beautifully decorated. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We have an ever growing collection of outdoor Christmas decorations but I try and switch it up. This is only our 2nd Christmas in this house; last year we did a lighted wreath, garland & 2 trees with a giant blow-up. This year I plan on doing all of that with 1 or 2 animated items along with decorations in my bow window. My tree was in the window last year but it will be placed elsewhere this year so I need to fill that space.

We (me) usually put up alot of decorations outside which would typically take me about a week to do. this year since I (we) have our house up for sale, I have all my outdoor decorations in storage. So, for this year, for the very first time since we lived there (14 years), there will be a very little Christmas decorations outside...

You might think about putting up a few decorations that are easy to take down ... it might make the home attractive to Christmas-spirited buyers and get them thinking about how THEY could decorate there. I'm guessing that a realtor might frown on that, though ...
