Christmas Tartlet has shown a merry disposition
santahat You cant beat a fireplace at this time of year ...

Myself and the OH have only been in our new home for a few months so it is obviously nowhere near finished. We have, however, managed to install new central heating/boiler and a cosy log burner (very important in chilly England with expensive energy companies) and this we set about decorating last weekend :-

... and this is our tree (try to ignore manky carpet, curtains and exposed pipework!) :-

Trust me when I say this, there's nothing like a wood burning fireplace.

I've been around one my entire life and I'll swear that I will never buy a house without one. Just like the other night, We were packing to move and we had an old wooden kitchen table and chairs in the other room that my wife didn't want any longer and so I took the hammer to it and had free heat/ BTUH's, giving off heat all night long.

It was 2 birds with one stone, free heat and no more wood table and chairs.....
