I have a small acorn type ornament that was on my mom and dads first christmas's together....I keep it separate and safe. I would be heartbroken if it got broken...its very special tome now that my parents are gone. I have some homemade decorations my mil made before she passed away...I think of her when I put them on the tree too...

I think our oldest ornament is the one my wife and I have when we were first married back in 1979. Its a glass ornament that we do not hang up right now because we have a few cats that like to climb our tree and we really don't want to take a chance of it breaking.

I'm not sure how old it is. My mom, grandma and aunts bought it back in the 60's. I think. They bought it as a Christmas gift for my grandpa.

It's a foam gingerbread house, and the sides have windows. The way the "icing" is on the windows it looks like it spells "Don". That was my grandpas name. Grandma gave it to my mom a few year ago because it was her favorite ornament. And it reminds her of him.

Ive been collecting Christmas decorations for the tree since my daughter was born. I have a boot with her name and year of birth printed underneath. They'll be nice little keepsakes for her when she's older!!

I'm hoping it will be mine someday.

Oh, I also remember I bought my grandpa an ornament when I was in 1st grade, not very old though. It's a fishing bobber, it says "No.1 Grandpa" on it. Grandma gave that one to me.
