It's nice to read what others cherish and want to pass along. Auntieclaus, I have a photo of my brothers and I on a pony and yes, that's the way it used to happen when I was little, someone would come along with his trailer and take his pony around the neighbourhood for photos.
Traditions and pleasant memories top my list too, Dom!
I have my grandmother's China (father's side) and my Great Aunt's (mother's side) antigue doll - you know the kind made of wood and plaster before the porcelain dolls and cloth dolls became popular. Not sure who will get either of those cherished items.
My husband and I have my grandparent's wedding set, we can't exactly pass them along until something happens to us (not sure who they'll go to yet, likely one of the grandchildren though.
I also have an old cuff-link and hankerchief chest from my dad's old store that should go to my oldest brother's son, but I'm not sure about that yet.
I have some old books that will need to find a good home and I also have our Family Bible, it was given to my dad's sister and husband on their wedding day from my grandmother (grandpa had already passed on) and it includes the family tree in the back.
In my old Hope Chest (Graduation present from High School), I have my Christening gown, my Baby Book, and other memorabilia from my youth.
