What kind of flowers do you around your home ?

I love flowers around my home & I was wondering what kind of flowers you all have.
We have 3 rose bushes,(red. yellow, & pink) on the side of the house, mums on both sides of the stairs, wild flowers in the front, 2 bleeding heart bushes, carnations on the other side, & 2 rose trees (yellow, & orange).
What kind of flowers do you have at your home ?

I have one rose bush, some cactus, irises, some other type of flower but I don't recall the name of it. It was something b/f's mom gave me and I replanted. My neighbors lilac tree also flows over into my yard which I love. I usually go to the local nursery/greenhouse and by all different types of flowers to plant too...from mums to violets and many more..if they look pretty I buy them. Not sure if I will get around to planting anything this year thou...I hope to but time will tell.

star I love flowers

In the back I have sunflowers, sunflowers and more sunflowers. Sometimes in the fall, I even get to roast some of the seeds before the squirels rum off with them!
In the front I have two Paeonia bushes, one white and one pink. Also tiger lilies, petunias are my favorite to put in containers on the front steps (with ivy mixed in). Also have hosta spread around that a friend gave me and is now growing so much I am going to have to thin it out this year. (more for the neighbours!) I like the pansies because they stay in bloom for most of the summer (they grow around the base of the choke cherry tree out front)

Because I'm not very well versed in what the Florida flowers are, I have no idea what most of the plants in our yard are. The ones are do know are the banana tree, the grapefruit tree and my favorite...the mango tree. One of these days I'm going to get some fruit out of this managerie!!

Yes, I love my banana tree. I've had two banana flowers turn into two banana hands. Unfortunately, with the drought here, we're only allowed to water on Friday evenings for an hour. Needless to say, the bananas never grew up or ripened.

Everytime the mango tree flowers, we get a cold snap. Even though I cover it with a blanket, the flowers die....or the squirrels eat the baby mangos....SQUIRRELS!!!!
