I have both of my boys back home again. I know how you feel. Today, however, something happened that really shocked me out of my funk about being their maid. The 22 year old son of a friend of mine was hit by a car when he stepped out to look at the damage on his car after an accident he had on the freeway. He is on life support with little chance of survival. Please pray for this family and hug your kids. Thanks for listening.

If it helps, I was rotten when I was a teenager, and felt the same as your girls do. Like my mom owed me something. Now that I'm an adult, with my own family, I totally appreciate her much more, and we chat everyday.

I'll keep him, his famliy and you and yours in my prayers. I also have two sons (19 & 21). And I always put myself in the situation. BTW - Ours sons live at home and commute to college and I enjoy every minute of them being here. Because as I tell DH, one day soon they'll be gone and I'll miss them and their mess.

I hope the young man recovers soon and all will be well with that family. I know I gave my mom living hell when I was a teenager. And it goes both ways, I miss her now that she is gone more than anything. For all you teenagers, college age kids or older kids that have parents living. Call them, hug them and tell them that you love them, you never know when they will be out of the house or out of your lives.

That's a little morbid, sorry. My best friend is gone and I talk to her daily even if she doesn't answer me directly. But when I'm doing something I can hear my grandma and my mom telling me to slow down or that there is help for me yet.

Thank you all for praying.
However, we received news that this young man passed away today. God had another plan for him. I can't pretend to understand because I don't.
Thanks again to all of you for your kindness.

star Thank you all for your support

On Saturday, I went out to the spring home show as I said I would. That evening I ordered myself some Chinese food for dinner and my daughter was none to happy I would not share. This afternoon I went out with a friend to and RV show in another town and had a great time. We went out for supper and enjoyed the peace and quite inbetween chuckles. I just got back about and hour ago. I feel better now. I will be making some changes around here so thanks for the suggestions.
I love my kids very much and have decided not to sell them or move out, even though the offer form RadioJonD was very tempting. (thank you for that!)

Momnan30, I am so sorry to hear about your friends son. You are right, we never know how much time we have with a loved one. Let them know we are praying for them.
