Tie - Thanksgiving and Halloween!

Both great in their own ways! Both in the "Holiday Season" that goes from Halloween decorating to New Years Day Winding Down.

I have to agree with Sunshine on this one! I love halloween and turkey day as much as the next person but the 4th of July is truely special to me.
My Grandmother moved from Ireland when she was 19. When she became an American citizen she became a fiercely patriotic American. Every year my grandparents would have the biggest BBQ!!! We would walk down to the parade (the same parade I would twirl in later in life) sit on the corner and watch the fun.. we would eat, the grown ups would drink and we just be together.. then we would pack up and go see the fireworks. After my grandparents left us my Uncle took up the tradition! This is a tradition I have passed to my son. I am sad to say that I will have to work this July 4th so my DH, Mom and Sister with my son will have to go to the parade without me

God Bless America!!!
