For those of you who bake ahead of time. How do you store your cookies until its time for christmas? Freeze them? Or store them in a cool place? My mom makes cookies ahead of time and freeze them. But my dad and brothers always find them. Then she has to make more. How should she hide them from the boys?
I always freeze my baked goods for the holidays. I've never had a problem with them.

I usually left a glass of milk and chocolate chip cookies. In fact, this Santa's MySpace blog suggests you leave him chocolate chip cookies (as he HATES macaroons): http://blog.myspace.com/santaclausiswatching

We, the kids and I, usually make several batches of cookies. We pick a weekend in December and make them all at once. We like doing frosted sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate pixies, just about any kind the kids want to make. Last year we bought a cookie press and make several kinds of spritz cookies (regular, cream cheese, eggnog, peanut butter). We also make fudge, chocolate, peanut butter, and butterscotch.

Santa gets whatever cookies the kids put out, and always a glass of milk. We always make cookies and they always get eaten so end up making more.
