Last year my b/f and I went out to look at Christmas light's and were saddened to see the next to no one had decorated .And this was just before Christmas .

When I was little it was a family tradtion to go out looking at light's. At least every other house was shining with light's . Now there are very few.

Our small town mayor got drunk and wrecked the only police car once. Can't remember if it was Christmastime though.

Love the picture of Christmas street...Thanks for sharing!

I am trying to think of something my town did/does (I still live in the small town I grew up in) but at the moment I am drawing a blank. I don't know if there is any certain thing the "town" does but neighborhoods all go househopping to each others houses...each house has a snack & drinks & you walk around, maybe carol a little, & see everyones decorations. Everybody knows everybody here, so it's always a lot of fun at Christmas. They started a "lighting of the Christmas tree" at church several years ago. I think it's the 1st Sunday in December. I have never been there for it, but that is a pretty cool tradition I will partake in one of these years. Seems like we have always had something going on when they light it & we have to miss it.
