I actually went to a garage sale today and picked up a whole box of ornaments. After I got home I rummaged through the box to see what to keep and what to donate to the thrift store. Anyhow there were 2 patchwork ornaments as well as one other quilted like ornament similar to the pic. I posted on this thread. So now that I have a pattern kinda sorta I may try this out if and when I have time. I really want to make a Disney one! =)

Would this be it Annette? I know it mentions using straight pins and hot glue.

I like making pinecone ornaments. I use egg shaped styrofoam, buy some nice christmas ribbon (usally plaids) and cut them into 1-1/2" pieces. I grab a box of pins, fold one end of the ribbon to form a point and then I start layering them from bottom to top. When I'm finished with that, I use some lace, ribbons, bells, etc. to top them off. I sometimes use fake snow to touch the tips. They make great ornaments!

I'll try to make a few and post a pic.

Gloria

You know MSE...I seen this website and those are very similar I would say. Although they to me are a little bit "plainer" than the ones in the pic. here...Maybe it's just the pic. thou...the colors just don't seem as vibrant to me.
