This always kills me how people think it happens sooner and sooner each year. What i feel is the major issues as we age time seems to fly by faster to ti just seems soon when it never is early enough IMO.
Also one last thing to add I really love the image that was added to his and have saved it as my new work background lol
“Every time a cash register rings, a food court employee gets his Buffalo Wings.”
Well, I actually agree with this post fully. Every year the holidays seem to get closer and closer together in ads. Now it's just getting insane. Halloween in August.
I agree with you whole heartily! When I was younger Thanksgiving marked the beginning of the holiday season, and it suited me just fine. But it was in October, usually around Columbus Day, that I would start to feel the spirit of the season, as a teenager I played Handel's Messiah on that day, mother was at work, but we had time off from school, and I would pretend I was in the choir and sing along with the Album! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and have a great day!
I know people who scowl when they see Christmas items hit the store at a time they consider too early. I guess I look at it this way...no one forces anyone to shop that part of the store. Clearly it has a customer base...like a bunch of weirdos who talk Christmas all year online. Clearly people watch Christmas movies on Hallmark in July. So if Christmas items show up in stores in June...who gets hurt? Honestly, if people didn't buy these items, stores would not tie up retail real estate for such a long period. I think a far more annoying trend is that of so-called news publications manufacturing stories like there is nothing else happening in the world. And those Christmas shops open year-round??? Oh, the horror!
The next thing they'll report is that people who release Christmas music albums didn't sing & record them in December. Heretics.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more. ---Theodor Seuss Geisel a.k.a. Dr. Seuss
