One station has converted over to an all Christmas format. It is SO exciting!!! They are playing a promo clip every 3-4 songs inviting listeners to tune into a specific sister station if they aren't "quite in the holiday spirit yet."
WMVN (101.1) in St. Louis, Missouri went to all Christmas music on October 10, 2008. They will remain so until early 2009 when they go to an all sports format. Previously WMVN had aired an AC format.
Glad Tidings is a one-hour traditional Christmas program featuring performances by the premiere choirs and philharmonic orchestra at the Brigham Young University School of Music seamlessly blended with seasonal stories and poetry threaded throughout with relevant scriptural verses in celebration of the Christmas season.
Unless I'm mistaken, there have been threads and posts about this popular program on this and other Christmas forums. I've never heard the program so I hope to be able to fit it into my recording schedule this year.
