tree tree

How exciting!
How tall is your new tree? What kind is it?
I have a 6 ft balsim? I have to look at the box again.
You know..I never can get the tree to look like the picture on the box!
I have to fill in with lots of ornaments.
Does anybody know how to make the tree look like it does on the box?

For my tree, every year I get out the instructions & shape every branch according to the instructions & it looks pretty darn close to the pic on the box. I'm not saying that works for every tree, but it's a place to start. My friends laugh at me b/c I follow the directions, but hey...they also compliment my tree every year!

Faithmom, my tree is 6 and 1/2 ft. I was going to get the 7 ft. but we measured and it really would have made it tight for my angel to sit on top. Also, we figured in the height that the tree stand would add. Got my angel out of the closet and LOL, I made my husband roll his eyes because I apologize to my angel for getting her out so early then having to put her back. Hee Hee, I'm not really losing my senses, I just enjoy getting a reaction out of my husband.

Thanks to everyone for their replies to my post.

I think it's a Mountain Fir (I know it is some kind of Fir), I got it from JC Penneys.

No haven't put up the tree. We are having some water problems, like no water so there's more important things happening that has taken my focus off the tree for awhile.
It is still in the box, in the basement, sitting by the couch.

Our spring has not gone dry but the piple that comes across under the back road has broken, hubby just discovered the cause last night. So it's going on two days without water and of course he has to work tomorrow (Saturday) mandatory overtime so I might not have water until sometime on Sunday. ewwwwwwwww

I hope your water problem gets fixed soon, that doesn't sound like fun.

But after that, you really should put the tree up to make sure it's all there. My mother bought one once that had branches missing and had to take it back and exchange it, so, better safe than sorry.

You could always decorate it for fall, then Thanksgiving, and THEN Christmas!

oh boy...thatīs a bummer....weīve been without water for six hours once....and I really, really hated it.....and it was just six hours....in moments like that....You really see how we rely on these things....things that seem so normal to us when they are not really...I hope You get the problem fixed as soon as possible

Thanks for your concerns about my water situation. We have been living here for 24 years and it happens often. People say we are luck that we don't have to pay for our water. I say, yes we do, we pay with hard work, hubby and to rebuild our spring which cost money, we go without water and very low water pressure. But we do have the best tasting water. It's pouring rain outside now and hubby is outside digging trying to repair the break in the pipe. Plus he worked a 9 hour day.

I do appreciate everyone's kind words. Thanks.
